RenewMe Fitness, LLC is an in-home personal training company providing functional and medical fitness to the Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia area.

Our trainers provide expertise and convenience by coming to your home, bringing all necessary training equipment with them, and working with you or your loved one’s schedules.

Certified by the Functional Aging Institute, our trainers are also highly experienced and licensed in various allied health fields, such as Physical Therapy.

What do we do?

  • We help older adults, 50 years and up, regain their physical health and get back to doing the things they love!

  • We can offer some nutritional coaching as well as diet tips to help gain/lose weight

  • After a consistent routine is established, we can come at a lower frequency to check-up on clients and modify their programs if needed

Our Services

As we age, our bodies go through changes, some of which can cause us discomfort and carry mobility concerns. The good news is, you never have to just accept these pains and limitations. We are passionate about helping our aging community thrive and heal through these changes. If you or someone you love has Parkinson’s, experienced a Stroke, suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, or Dementia our trainers can help alleviate some of the damage that has occurred and give back a sense of life and energy.

Most of the trainers at RenewMe Fitness have a background in physical therapy or occupational therapy.  We are able to meet the needs of clients who need to continue to exercise after being discharged from physical therapy or to slow the progression of degenerative disease, or post-surgery or injury.

1-1 In-Home Training

Receive 1-1 training, focusing on improving function while a trainer carefully watches your form.

We work with clients one-on-one in their home or preferred facility.  Sessions occur one to five times per week depending on goals and needs. We meet with you to perform an initial movement and functional assessment as well as to learn what your individual goals are.  Some of the actual client goals we have experience with are:

  • Improving balance

  • Safely walking up and down the stairs

  • Carrying bags from the grocery store or farmer’s market

  • Hitting golf balls

  • Increasing elements of fitness to include strength, flexibility, and endurance

  • Walking without assisted devices

After the initial assessment, the client is matched with the trainer who is most qualified to work with your specific medical diagnosis and goals. We have an exhaustive screening process for our trainers in order to understand their individual training style, how they support and motivate their clients and what their internal motivation is for working in the field of medical fitness training.

Your trainer will use the information from the initial assessment to develop exercises and activities for each training session. At the end of each month, clients are re-assessed to ensure that progress is being made. These monthly reassessments are a great way to keep you informed on your progress and it helps us to continuously hone our exercise programming for each session.

We also offer virtual 1-1 training in the comfort and safety of your home!

How will we create a program for you/your loved one?

  • Start with a Free Initial Consultation

  • Record the client’s functional capacity determined by evidence-based assessments

  • Prepare an individualized program based on the client’s goals

  • Educate the client, caretaker, and family to ensure maximum results can be produced

Who do we serve?
