Philomena Pereira, Regional Director
Philomena Pereira is the Regional Director for RenewMe Fitness. Philomena’s passion is to keep seniors living a healthy and independent life where ever they call home. She believes that life is a gift and we have to live for today and enjoy each moment.
With more than 25 years of experience as a management professional, she has a proven track record in health care and social services, as well as the for-profit sector. Philomena was the Executive Vice President of Professional Services at Tidewell Hospice and Chief Organizational Officer for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice in Florida. In New Jersey, she was the Assistant Vice President of Long Term Care Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and Chief Executive Officer of Morris County Social Services. Philomena is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work.
A Jersey Girl at heart, she moved to Sarasota, Florida 13 years ago with her family. She enjoys time with her sons, yoga, biking, reading, all sports and music.
Thomas Reinhard, Trainer
Tom is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition, he has a background in Functional Movement Systems (FMS). He has spent four years in collegiate weight rooms while obtaining his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University. Most recently, Tom was a Fitness Director at a local gym in Sarasota but decided it was time to be more hands on in making a difference in peoples lives. He has worked with people from professional athletes to those suffering from stroke or even those recovering from shoulder, knee, hip, and back surgery. In his free time he loves to go to the beach, hang out with friends, and find anything to do involving sports.
Michelle Albala, Trainer
Michelle is a certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. Michelle has worked in a multitude of settings including gyms, in private homes, and in physical therapy clinics. She has over 12 years of experience helping her clients achieve their goals varying from weight loss, to post rehabilitation training, to overall health and well-being. She has tremendous passion for what she does and truly values the journey of seeing her clients progress and succeed. Her experience and knowledge of post rehabilitation training helps her to safely instruct her clients while keeping them motivated and excited for future workouts! In her spare time, Michelle loves to stay active herself by exercising and doing yoga or just exploring what Southwest Florida has to offer with her husband and four year old son as they have just relocated here from New York.
Michael Jones, Trainer
Michael is a Certified Fitness Trainer with a focus in Strength and Conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). He graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Sociology. He also graduated with an Associates of Applied Sciences in Physical Therapy from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Michael loves to combine the education from his personal training experience and physical therapy background to create the optimal experience for his clients. Michael has worked in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, which allowed him the opportunity to work with people with joint replacements as well as neurological disease and cardiopulmonary conditions. Michael enjoys learning what inspires his clients. He utilizes the information to motivate his clients and helps them reach their goals to live longer and healthier lives. In leisure time, Michael enjoys playing football, working out with friends and watching movies.
